Career.
Mainoo football journey begun at age of five years at Cheadle and Gatley FC’s academy, a place designed to introduce young kids to sports. As he aged, his talent became more recognizable which was the beginning of his future in football as he was spotted by Manchester united academy at age of nine.
Manchester United.
Upon joining Manchester united he quickly advanced through the ranks and on May 2022 he signed his first professional contract with the club.
On 16 October he was named on the bench before premier league game Newcastle for the first time after an impressive display against Carlisle United in the EFL Trophy.
Mainoo earned his first competitive debut on 10 Jan 2023 starting in a 3-0 win over Charlton Athletic in EFL trophy and on Feb 19 he made his premier league debut against Leicester city. Kobbie made his champions league debut on November 29 coming off as a substitute in a 3-3 draw against Galatasaray.
International career.
Mainoo is yet to represent England national Senior team but has several caps for the under 17 levels. Mainoo is still eligible to represent Ghana national team.
