Victor Osimhen, a striker for Napoli, is now being pursued by Chelsea over their London rivals Arsenal
The source claims that by concentrating on luring the prolific forward, who led Napoli to the Serie A championship with 26 goals in the domestic league the previous season, to English football for the first time in his career, the Blues have secured an advantage over their Premier League rivals.
Given rumors that senior Bernabeu executives think Real Madrid should be after the Nigerian international rather than PSG’s star player Kylian Mbappe, Pochettino will be pleased that the international has expressed his desire to play in the Premier League in the future.

Papu Gomez receives a two year anti-doping ban.
The test on Papu Gomez.
The world cup winner is said to have tested positive in November 2022 ahead of the FIFA world cup final against Two times champions France which Argentina emerged victorious after a six goal thriller which ended up in penalties. The player in this period took some cold cough syrup which were prescribed for children and following tests made before the playing of the FIFA world cup final the results turned out to be positive. The results were kept and the two parties were aware and awaited for the next action which was to be given out by UEFA. The player made only two appearances in the world cup where he only appeared in match against Australia and Saudi Arabia.

Blame on cold cough syrup
According to Spanish media Relevo, the player took a blame on his actions after the results of taking the pills prescribed for his children as he said he felt ill and lacked sleep and without consultation of the football medical doctors the player took the pills. However the anti-doping authorities rejected this explanation of series of events.
Termination of the contract by Sevilla.
After Sevilla were made aware of the positive test of Papu Gomez the club took action by terminating his contract this year after the closing of the summer transfer window. The player joined the club in 2021 from Atalanta and was in the winning squad that lifted the Europa cup in Budapest.
Return to Italy.
After nearly one and a half month after being signed by Monza, the club and the player has been hit by this blow and it’s likely he will miss the match against Roma and the club will be without Caprari as well. The player spent seven years at Serie A with Atalanta between 2014 to 2021 and helped the club to get its champions league qualification after several years of absence. The player’s relationship with the coach Giani Piero didn’t end well and he moved to Sevilla in Spain. The player reportedly rejected to offers from Saudi Arabia as he believed his time to leave Europe was not yet and he signed with Monza.
Possible early football retirement.
Due to the two year ban imposed on Papu Gomez, the 35 year old could end up retiring from football as it will be hard for him to return again to top elite football.

Will Argentina lose their world cup title due to Papu Gomez doping violations?
Papu Gomez was part of Argentina 26 man squad that wrote history in Qatar 2022 world cup. They won the most coveted tournament in the world, after Argentina defeated 2018 champions, France on post match penalties.
However, according to the world anti-doping codes, neither Argentina nor his club would risk losing trophies won that season or tournament.
Article 11 of FIFA anti-doping rules, states that a title could only be rescinded if more than two members of the team had committed anti- doping rule violation.
This means Argentina will retain their would cup trophy unless another member of their squad is found guilty of breaching the FIFA anti-doping rule. It’s a relief for Messi who made history by wining the world cup,to cement his status as the all time greatest footballer in the football history.
