Chelsea misses out on another French talent as he joins Lens on €35m package deal.
RC Lens are set to sign French gem Elye Wahi on €35m package deal.
RC Lens have agreed a deal worth €35m to sign young french striker from Montpellier. Lens have already agreed a five years contract with Wahi and medicals have been booked over the weekend. Lens are trying to build a strong team as they are participating in this year’s Champions League.
Chelsea were among many other European clubs who were after the french striker.Wahi scored 19 goals in 33 matches last season for Montpellier. Chelsea €28m initial offer for the young french man was declined by Montpellier as they were holding out for record transfer for their precious gem.
Chelsea striker Christopher Nkunku was injured during the preseason games and will be out for four months.Mauricio Pochettino and Chelsea are in the market for another striker to help ease the burden from Nickolas Jackson.
Chelsea still have Romelu Lukaku in their books but the Belgian is unwanted at Stamford Bridge. Juventus are still in the race to sign him after having already agreed personal terms with Lukaku. The proposed swap deal between Lukaku and Vlahovic collapsed as Chelsea were unwilling to pay €50m + Lukaku for Vlahovic.
Chelsea have also been linked with a move for Gunners American striker Florian Bolagun. Arsenal have set a £50m price tag for the American striker who spent last season on loan in league 1 scoring 23 goals.

After losing out on Wahi Chelsea will be tempted to make a move for the Gunners striker.
